Thank you for expressing interest in the ROAD DAWGS® Motorcycle Club. Take the time to review our new website in its entirety. The history and integrity of our organization is contained in these pages, as well as links to other ROAD DAWGS® Motorcycle Clubs websites across the United States. Visit all of them and you will find that we are consistent in the fundamental principals of our organization as well as the commitment and conduct of all of our membership.
The Tacoma Chapter has almost doubled in size since receiving its Charter in 2007. We are generally excited about our progress and our future, and welcome any new members. If you wish to be considered for membership in the Tacoma Chapter of the ROAD DAWGS® Motorcycle Club, Inc. you may do so in a number of ways:
Send us a message using the "contact us" link on this website. Include any questions you may have as well as detailed contact information and the President (or his designee) will contact you promptly.
Click on the "Application" link on this page. Print the application, fill it out completely, and mail it to the address listed at the top of the form. If you don't wish to mail the form, contact us through this website and a member would be happy to meet with you in the Tacoma/Pierce County area and pick it up.
If you see any of our members at any event, feel free to approach them and ask questions. Our members are friendly, can be very informative, and will assist you in any way they can. We want to meet you.
Membership Consideration Process:
Each applicant must have a sponsor. Any active member of the Road Dawgs may sponsor a new member. Your sponsor will vouch for your application. It is also the responsibility of the sponsor to help and assist you to obtain full membership. If for some reason you do not have a sponsor, we will do some light background work and assign a sponsor.
Each applicant must submit an application form to the President through his sponsor with an initial application fee of $200.00. If accepted, this application fee will cover initial start-up costs, club membership (including the first 3 months dues), and all official Road Dawgs colors, pins, and patches. If denied, the $200.00 application fee will be fully returned to the applicant.
All applications will be reviewed, discussed, and voted on during the next regular monthly meeting of the organization, which is generally scheduled for the third Thursday of each month. Approval must be 100% of the voting members, and applicants will be notified of the results immediately.
Once accepted, all probationary members will be furnished with a black leather "Prospect" vest which contains the clubs colors, minus the coveted center bulldog patch. These "Prospect" vests also bear the names of prior Prospect Members, and the dates they patched into the organization as Full Active Members.
All probationary members will also be furnished with a manual containing copies of the Road Dawgs Articles of Incorporation and Constitution & By-Laws. They will be expected to become familiar with the organizations' history, rules and regulations. If all of the mandatory criteria is met, Prospect members should earn the bulldog patch and be advanced to Full-Active Membership within six months.
